I had a pizza today that was inspired by one of my favorite pasta dishes. It’s a penne dish that is made with a cream base and has lots of chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, artichokes and spinach. Now I’m wondering why this hasn’t always been a thing I do: Pizza inspired by pasta? It’s genius!

I’m a huge fan of dipping my crust, and although a marinara is totally fine for most pizzas, I also knew this pizza would need something special. That’s why I’m introducing a tasty alfredo pizza crust dip.
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- ½ Cup Heavy Cream
- ½ Cup Parmesan
- 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
- Melt butter in sauce pan with garlic over medium heat.
- Add cream and parmesan, stirring well.
- Increase heat to medium high and stir constantly until mixture bubbles.
- Remove from heat and serve.
This is a recipe you really can’t mess up. If the sauce is a little thick, just add more cream. A little thin? Add more cheese. And of course it’s best served warm.
