It’s the middle of conference sesaon. I’ve already hit the road for events in Arkansas and Pennsylvania. In a few weeks I’ll be heading to California. Want to know what tech I’m taking? That’s easy: my phone, my travel camera and my Intel 2 in 1 Dell Venue 11 Pro!
When it comes to tech and travel, I’ve always felt like a bit of a Goldilocks. The laptop is too big and bulky. The tablet doesn’t do everything I need for it to do. The 10.8″ Venue 11 Pro combines the portability of a tablet with the power of an Ultrabook™. That means I can blog on the go, check in with social media and surf the web without weighing myself down. The USB port means I can upload pictures and sync my phone-even when there’s no WiFi around.
I used my Dell Venue 11 Pro for the first time a few weeks ago when I attended Disney On The Road. Live tweeting an event with only a touch screen keyboard? It’s not easy. At least it’s not easy if you also plan on keeping up with what others are saying. The snap on keyboard solves that problem. It has a built in rechargeable battery. That means just using the keyboard can increase the battery life of my Dell Venue 11 Pro by up to 50%. Extra battery life is huge when you’re at a social media event. (Says the girl who packs two power banks now on every trip.)
I was able to follow along on TweetDeck and I still had battery life at the end of the day. The attached keyboard meant I was able to type without having the onscreen keyboard hide most of the screen. Meanwhile, my phone died before lunch. I’m excited to have my tech needs completely sorted out for my next trip. My 2 in 1 has an Intel® Atom™ quad core processor, Windows 8.1 and 2GB RAM. There’s also a 10.8″ HD display. I’m set for work or play. And no matter what you’ve heard, conferences are work. At least part of the time. I’ll be tweeting, checking in on my blog-maybe even posting if I can find the time. And I’ll be set for it all with my Intel 2 in 1.
