Let’s just make this clear. I don’t really need an excuse to buy a movie with eye candy like Robert Downy, Jr. or Chris Evans. However having them in a great movie together with even more eye candy and a few shopping bonuses just makes it that much more fun. So how can you celebrate the launch of The Avengers on Blu-Ray?
Start by downloading the Avengers Augmented Reality App which unlocks exclusive content at Walmart.
Walmart is also the only place you’ll find this bonus pack that features the Avengers Blu-ray and DVD discs along with a limited edition graphic novel!
While at Walmart look for the special trigger points throughout the store. (You can find them in the electronics, toys, apparel, pizza and Halloween sections of the store.) The trigger points will unlock quiz questions which will help you figure out which Avenger you are. This trigger point lets you take your picture with the Avengers. There’s even an augmented reality game!
You can pretend you’re Captain America while shopping for pizza! And speaking of pizza…
That’s what Walmart’s specially marked Marketside Pizza looks like when you view it through the “Product Activiation” feature on the app.
That same Marketside Pizza can turn into a pretty awesome Captain America sheild with just a little effort. (Please don’t ask for pictures after it came out of the oven. I might have overcooked it…still embarassed about that!)
The Blu-ray box even has an activation point. Using the “Product Activation” feature from the app your box will turn into this:
Pretty cool, right? Of course now it’s time to actually watch the movie and enjoy some slightly overcooked Marketside Pizza.
