When I wasn’t sleeping I wanted to be shopping. (That’s a totally normal thing for me.) Specifically shopping because it was my state’s tax-free weekend. (And the last one at that, they’ve decided to do away with the tax holiday starting next year.) I thought going to the outlets that are 20 minutes away was a good idea. Little did I know everyone else in a 100 mile radius would think the same thing. I spent about half and hour trying to get out of the parking lot once I got in. There was not a space to be had. The lanes were a parking lot themselves because everyone was driving so slowly looking for a space. I even found the overflow and RV parking lot that I didn’t know existed. They were packed, including cars in the spaces that aren’t really spaces so that getting in and out without an accident was a miracle. So I spent about 40 minutes driving there and back, another half our just in the parking lot, and I didn’t even get out of my car. So that was fun.
That’s not to say I didn’t do any shopping. I got a great deal on a Lands’ End swimsuit at Sears. (In the mall that’s actually just a mile from my house.) I love it. Except it’s just a wee bit too small. (They didn’t have my exact size.) But hey, if there’s anything that’s it’s ok having a little too small it’s a swimsuit, amirite? (Said no one ever…)
That’s really it for this week. Well, there’s work stuff. But there’s always work stuff. How was your week?
