It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done a First World Problems post. In reality it’s only been two weeks. Where was I last week? In some great big void on the internet. Last weekend is when my designer started the process of moving my blog from Blogger to WordPress. It was a fairly painless process, although that didn’t keep me from driving my blogging friends completely insane while my blog was gone. A word of advice for anyone thinking of doing this. Do it already. Just do it while you’re going to be out-of-town or away from a computer for a few days and don’t worry about it. It will totally work out.
Of course just like any move there’s the process of settling in. I’ve been admin on a few other WP blogs so at least I wasn’t learning that from scratch. It’s still so different. I’ve added some plug-ins. I’ve moved things around. I’m starting to work on that whole SEO thing that you basically have to ignore while you’re on Blogger. (If my pageviews don’t double I’m going to be slightly annoyed…) I’ve gone back through some of my more popular posts and reformatted them so that they look OK with my new design. If you see anything that looks odd definitely tell me!
In addition to all of the blog move drama (that really wasn’t that dramatic) my real job totally kicked my ass this week. It’s the end of the fiscal year which means it’s time to turn in all of that end of year stuff, finish up reports, that sort of thing. I’m so ready for July. (And not only because that’s when I’ll be hanging with some of my besties at BlogHer!)
And in significantly more shallow news…I got a new pedicure today. For the second time in a row my Essie pedicure was a chipped up mess in less than a week. (I need my pedicures to last at least two weeks. I might be self-indulgent but I’m not that self-indulgent that I’m going to get a pedicure more than twice a month…)
How was YOUR week?
