It’s always a great idea to include more fruits and veggies in your day. They’re delicious and they’re good for you. Yet most of us don’t get enough. Blueberries are one easy way to pack a powerful dose of healthy into your day. They’re just 80 calories per serving and they’re full of fiber, vitamins and minerals. Also, they’re delicious. Seriously…I can eat them like candy, straight from the carton. I can also eat candy like candy, straight from the carton. There’s just one big difference. If I’m doing it with blueberries I’m 100% guilt free.
Another way I can enjoy blueberries? In a glass of blueberry mint lemonade infused water. Quite possibly the easiest recipe ever. I just fill the infuser basket of my Rove Flavor Infuser with blueberries, lemon slices and mint leaves. After a visit to the fridge for at least an hour, I have a healthy and refreshing drink. Fruits and drinking more water in one fell swoop! We’re crushing it over here.
If you’re looking for a more traditional lemonade, I have you covered, never fear. Just steep a handful of mint leaves in 1/2 a cup of water. Drain that into a glass and add a few splashes of lemon juice and handful of blueberries. Fill up the glass with cold water. For an extra flavorful kick, muddle the berries. Add just a touch of sweetener, but only if you think you need it. And don’t go asking me for “how much” on any of this. It’s totally about doing it “to taste”. You can’t mess it up. I promise.
