It’s a special time of year. It’s that time when you put away the Christmas lights and get ready for the best night of television there is. I’m talking about that night when all of the big brands break out their best commercials. Apparently there’s also a football game between commercials. Who knew?
I kid…I kid. Of course there’s a football game. It’s a big one. And it’s just a few weeks away. That means now is the time to perfect your favorite game day recipes so you’ll be ready. 
I have step one in your game plan ready: pick up a bag of sweet potato fries. Feel free to pick up some of their crinkle cut fries or crispy onion rings, too. The more the merrier when it comes to your game day snacks.
The next step in our game plan? Creating some ridiculously good frosting for those fries. Frosting? Fries? Oh, yes. That’s right. Frosting. On your fries. It’s a thing.
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla.
- Stir until smooth.
- Slowly add cinnamon and cayenne until desired taste is reached.
- Add more milk if your frosting is too thick. Add more powdered sugar if it’s too thin.
This is one of those “you can’t mess it up recipes”. Add a little. Add a lot. Make it as thick or as thin as you want it. If you’re not a fan of spicy like me, leave out the cayenne. Seriously…it’s foolproof. Well, unless you don’t like the idea of dipping your sweet potato fries in frosting. But who wouldn’t want to do that? The recipe is super easy. If you can stir, you’ve got this.
