2020: A Digital Scrapbook

I’m not gonna let this dumpster fire of a year keep me from completing my digital scrapbook. Besides, it wasn’t all bad.

January 2020

In January I was all about getting ready for my upcoming trip to Disney World and a Disney Cruise with friends. 2020 was looking bright!

February 2020

In February I tagged along to the Disney Creator Celebration and got four days of fun at Walt Disney World, then three nights on a Disney Cruise, followed by a night staying with a friend in Orlando before heading home. The weather was crazy, I got a sunburn, and it was the best time. I can’t wait to go on a cruise again!

March 2020

March started out with a bang, not knowing what was ahead of us all. I flew to LA and then road-tripped with friends for a long weekend in Las Vegas.

Then a group of us headed back to LA to attend the World Premiere of Mulan.

That was followed by a day trip to Disneyland.

Then the world slowly began to shut down. I was supposed to stay in Burbank for most of March, but ended up flying home early to avoid getting stuck there if airlines decided to start canceling flights.

April 2020

I spent the entire month of April at home, wondering when all of this would be over.

May 2020

May was more of the same. More staying home. More working. More eating quarantine snacks.

June 2020

June was when I first started to notice a real shift to “we’re probably going to be here a while” and virtual press opportunities became standard. I did my first virtual one-on-one interview with Josh Dela Cruz from Blue’s Clues & You! and settled in to see where the second half of the year was going to take us.

July 2020

July brought more zoom interviews and a whole lot of me playing with resin crafts.

August 2020

August is my birthday month, and it was surprisingly special considering everything going on in the world. A huge group of friends got together to surprise me with a virtual celebration. (You should for sure check out the Instagram highlight!)

September 2020

Sure, September had more zoom interviews and junkets, but I kinda have to point out specifically that this month included interviewing the director of Mulan and the director of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

October 2020

It was a sad little Halloween over here, but I still tried to make the most of it with a few fun crafts. Interviewing SpongeBob SquarePants was a highlight.

November 2020

In November I watched and reviewed a lot of movies and I decided to put my Christmas tree up super early. If there was ever a year to rush Christmas, 2020 was it.

December 2020

It was a very different Christmas, but I was able to safely see most of my family, so I have no complaints.

I’m cautiously looking at making plans for 2021. My bestie and I have tickets to a concert in London in November, and very general “we’re all going on vacation” plans have been made with a group of friends. Here’s to making this new year a little less of a dumpster fire. 🍾
