Thank you to Disney and Pixar for hosting me during the Cars 3 Event.
I’m still functioning on west coast time and my body still thinks it’s running through Disneyland, but I’m back at home. Back where there’s not a stand handing out unlimited churros and there’s no celebrity around every corner. The Cars 3 World Premiere was amazing. And I really miss those churros.
Whenever I’m invited to an event, I immediately start to think about what I’m going to wear. And despite having two never-before-seen red carpet-ready dresses hanging in my closet, I ordered this checkered flag-inspired dress the day I was invited. And then I had to order the red patent belt as soon as the dress arrived. And then I bought the yellow necklace and deconstructed it. And then I bought a black patent wristlet and added Cars-inspired decals. The shoes? At least those were already in my closet. What can I say? I live for a theme and a reason to shop.
The red carpet was full of performers and special activities. They had a coloring wall, games, airbrush tattoos and more on what was the longest red carpet I’ve ever seen.
I was able to grab a picture with Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. Fun fact: his hat has the Tivan Group logo on the front and the Mission Breakout logo on the back. If you ever see Kevin Feige, always take note of his hat.
After screening the movie it was time to head over to Disney California Adventure for a party in Cars Land.
On a good trip to DCA, you get to ride Radiator Springs Racers once. On a great trip, you might get to ride twice. We rode four times. FOUR TIMES!
The Cozy Cone was a favorite spot, with churros, ice cream, cotton candy and more. Have I mentioned my churro-withdrawal yet?
We finished out the party with a special viewing of World of Color. Notice I didn’t say we finished out the night with that? That’s because we finished out the night over at Disneyland with a few more rides. I’ll catch up on my sleep sooner or later…
Stay tuned. I’ll be sharing lots more Cars 3 Event Coverage in the coming days. Catch Cars 3 in theaters on June 16th!
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
