Thank you to Paramount Home Entertainment for sponsoring these Avatar: The Last Airbender Appa Cookies!

Avatar: The Last Airbender is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a limited edition Steelbook of the complete series! I’m celebrating with a batch of almost too cute to eat Appa cookies.
How To Make Appa Cookies
To make a batch of Appa cookies, you’ll need:
- Cookies
- Pink and Black Candy Melts
- Chocolate Taffy (Tootsie Rolls)
- Candy Eyes
- Vanilla Frosting
- Black Food Coloring Piping Bag and Grass Frosting Tip

Bake your favorite cookies in an oval shape. (Or cut them into ovals while they’re still warm from the oven.) Tint half of your vanilla frosting with a few drops of black food coloring to create gray frosting, then frost the bottom of your cookies.

Load your piping bag with the rest of the frosting and add Appa’s fur using a grass frosting tip.

Warm your chocolate taffy in the microwave for 10 seconds,
then roll it out and use a knife to carve out the arrow for the top
of Appa’s head.

Cut black and white candy melts in half to create Appa’s tongue, nose, and horns. Finish your Appa cookies with candy eyes.
