I don’t know if she realized it, but clearly the Fairy Godmother had Halloween on her mind. At least subconsciously. Why else would she continue to sing the word “Boo” over and over? She did have a fondness for pumpkins, now that I think about it. Really, Cinderella is practically a Halloween movie.
Taking it too far? Well, even so, you can still celebrate Halloween and Fairy Godmothers with a Cinderella themed Halloween project! We have the easy version and the really easy version. Let’s start with the really easy version first.
Grab the picture and print. See? Told you it was really easy.
Now, to get just slightly more complicated version. And it’s really only complicated because you need a Silhouette. Or you need to know someone with one. Grab a blank canvas.
Use painters tape to create stripes. Use the same piece of tape between each stripe to space things out evenly.
The secret to getting clean lines? Painting over your tape with your base coat. Of course since I was making white stripes on a white canvas I skipped the base coat part. But I did paint on a layer of white paint. That helps to seal the tape before you paint on your contrasting color.
If you use inexpensive acrylic craft paint, it takes a few coats of orange to get full coverage. Now it’s time to add the vinyl. Just grab my “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” Silhouette Cut File! You will want to size to fit your canvas. It may also be helpful to split each word into it’s own cut file. Apply your vinyl to the canvas and decorate. I used inexpensive, pre-made paper spiders to up the spooky factor. Nothing like letting someone else do part of the work for you, right?
