I have a long Disney bucket list. I need to get to Hong Kong Disneyland, which I can admit will likely never happen. I need to get to Aulani, which is a real possibility. I need to do a runDisney event, which probably falls just below getting to Hong Kong in likelihood. My list is kind of long.

The bucket list gets hit hard next week, though, with two things getting the official cross-off. First of all…I’m going to Disneyland!

(July 17, 2015) Ð Mickey Mouse and his friends celebrate the 60th anniversary of Disneyland park during a ceremony at Sleeping Beauty Castle featuring Academy Award-winning composer, Richard Sherman and Broadway actress and singer Ashley Brown, in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday, July 17. Celebrating six decades of magic, the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration features three new nighttime spectaculars that immerse guests in the worlds of Disney stories like never before with "Paint the Night," the first all-LED parade at the resort; "Disneyland Forever," a reinvention of classic fireworks that adds projections to pyrotechnics to transform the park experience; and a moving new version of "World of Color" that celebrates Walt DisneyÕs dream for Disneyland. Next Friday night I’ll be at Disneyland for the first time ever! Yes, all of those trips to Disney Parks and I’ve never seen the original park in person. The super awesome amazing bonus is we’ll be there during Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration, celebrating their 60th Anniversary. I’ll be with a mixed group of Disneyland vets and Disneyland first timers like me. I’m pretty much counting on the vets to tell me where to go and what to do at all times. You know, my usual job at Walt Disney World. I want to do all of the things that aren’t in Florida, which might be a bit tough. We’ll only have five magic hours there to celebrate, but I do love a challenge! Why five hours?

D23Because before that we’ll be at the ultimate Disney fan event, D23 Expo!  When I first told people I was going to D23 Expo, the responses were either, “Yay! That’s awesome!” or “What is D23?” Each time, my answer has always been, “D23 is the offical fan club for Disney. D23 Expo is sort of like Comic-Con for Disney Nerds.” Now that’s me guessing based on what I’ve seen because I’ve never been to D23 Expo, even though it’s been on my bucket list. I’ve also never been to Comic-Con, which is on a totally different bucket list.  11698598_10106981760452904_654635385145276421_nI have a few more days of DisneyBound outfit planning and Disney crafting ahead of me. Oh, and I have work. Work that is totally taking a backseat until I’m back home again. That’s because anything non-Disney is incapable of holding my interest at the moment. Remember the little boy in the Disney commercial who was too excited to sleep? That’s me. Right now. For 9 more days. I’ll be living on Diet Coke and under-eye concealer, but I don’t care. Sleep is totally over-rated. I’m going to Disneyland!
