I have a long history with Cheerios. They weren’t just a part of my childhood-they were a part of my job! Working in early childhood, I used them to help little ones learn to count and learn to grasp. They were also a great snack when we needed one.

In the spirit of giving, this Cheerios Sweet Snack Mix makes a great gift, too! (Or make it as just a treat for yourself-everyone needs a treat sometimes!)
- 12 oz. Cheerios
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- ½ cup Butter
- 12 oz. Chocolate Chips
- 1 lb. Powdered Sugar
- Melt butter, peanut butter and chocolate chips in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add in Cheerios and mix well.
- Place powdered sugar in a large zippered bag.
- Add cereal mix to bag and shake well.
This recipe make a huge batch of snack mix, so make sure you use a large pot. (Or just split the recipe in half!)
Allow the cereal mix to cool a bit before transferring it to the bag of powdered sugar.
Store your Cheerios Sweet Snack Mix in an airtight container or zippered bag.
