This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sara Lee Desserts, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SaraLeeDesserts http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
I sometimes feel like the queen of jazzing up the store bought dessert. I was a food crafter before food crafting was a thing. Sure, I’m usually showing off my skills (or lack thereof) on a bakery-purchased container of cupcakes. That doesn’t mean I can’t break out of my cupcake rut and turn my attentions to a Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake. This Easter, I’m personalizing my cheesecake with easy and fun chocolate sprinkle bunnies!
What exactly are chocolate sprinkle bunnies, you ask? Chocolate and sprinkles formed in my favorite bunny silicone mold, of course!
I confess to a few disasters as I was trying to figure out an “easy” way to make these. It turns out that my original plan was not only the right way-it was the easiest of them all. I simply melted chocolate chips at half-power in the microwave and spooned it into the mold. After giving the mold a few taps on the counter-top to level out the chocolate, I poured on the sprinkles.A few minutes in the freezer and your bunnies are ready to hop onto your cheesecake! I made plenty of extras because I totally expected to have a few broken ears, but…they were all perfect! Of course extra sprinkle bunnies means extras for you to snack on while you decorate. And speaking of perfect, it was perfectly easy to add them to my Sara Lee cheesecake! As a matter of fact, it’s so easy there’s no reason you can’t make one for a friend, a neighbor, your office-mates… Share the sprinkle bunny love! The adorable circle of bunnies makes them perfect for Easter or for anyone who loves chocolate, sprinkles and all things cute.My sprinkle bunnies cheesecake also made a great stand-in for a traditional birthday cake for my grandmother’s 92nd birthday this weekend. Considering that it was all gone by the time I made my way into the kitchen to grab a slice, I think it was a hit!
