Clifford The Big Red Dog is back! The show is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and launches on PBS KIDS tomorrow. I’m excited for a whole new generation to be inspired by Clifford’s bigger-than-life adventures, and I thought the perfect way to celebrate would be with some easy Clifford The Big Red Dog Party Ideas!
Clifford The Big Red Dog Party Backdrop
You can make a simple backdrop with red, green, yellow and blue party crepe paper streamers. A small piece of masking tape will hold each streamer in place. Add an easy Clifford bunting by printing my Clifford printable on red cardstock. I also made a printable of just his eyes to print on white cardstock. Use a glue stick to add the eyes to the red Clifford cutouts. Add your Cliffords to a piece of twine using clear tape and your bunting is ready to hang!
Dog Treat Cookie Station
I loved the idea of letting party guests pretend they’re big dogs just like Clifford. You can create a DIY dog treat station with sugar cookies baked into the shape of bones. Provide cookie icing and sprinkles and let your guests get creative!
Dog Treat Canister Snacks
I found cute little dog treat containers at the dollar store and thought they would be perfect for holding party snacks!
Clifford The Big Red Dog Cupcake Flags
The easiest way to add a fun touch to cupcakes is with a printable cupcake flag. I sized these so that they could be easily cut with a two-inch circle punch. Don’t have a circle punch? Don’t worry, they’re easy to cut by hand, too! Use a piece of clear tape to attach the cupcake flags to a toothpick and place them on your cupcakes. That’s all it takes!
Dog Dish Party Plates
If I had to pick a favorite part of this Clifford The Big Red Dog party, though, it would be the dog dish “plates”. They were another dollar store find, and I knew kids would love getting to eat from a colorful plastic dog dish. Bonus: the high sides will help little ones avoid making a mess!
