When I crowdsourced a few new Christmas ornament ideas for this year, Coco was at the top of the list of recommendations. This Coco-inspired ornament only takes a few minutes to make. That’s a Disney DIY that everyone can get behind!
Pixar’s Coco Inspired Christmas Ornament
To make your own ornament, you’ll need:
- Silk Marigolds
- Blue Vinyl
- A Flat Plastic Ornament
Cut out the Coco guitar logo from blue vinyl using this Silhouette cut file. If you don’t have a Silhouette of your own, just sweetly ask one of your friends to cut this for you. (It’s also super easy to trace and cut if you have a Cricut. Just use this logo.)
The most difficult part of this project is sourcing the marigold petals. Apparently, in December craft stores like to stock Christmas florals. I ended up finding a few extra flowers sitting in a drawer from my Not So Scary Wreath project.
Once you get your hands on a few silk marigolds, trim off the petals.
Stuff those petals inside of your ornament and place on the guitar vinyl. That’s all it takes to make your Pixar’s Coco-inspired Christmas ornament!
