Travel does a number on my skin. That dry plane air always makes me feel kind of like an orange peel that’s been left out in the sun. Of course trying to fit an entire arsenal of products into a quart sized bag is it’s own issue. With travel season for work finally kicking into gear I’m making a few custom skincare travel pods.
I visited the Olay Skin Advisor Tool to help me find my perfect products. It’s pretty cool. You take a picture, identify your areas of concern and it gives you a customized analysis with product recommendations. A skin age of 35? I’ll take it!
I’ll also be taking the three products the Skin Advisor recommended with me on all of my upcoming travel. I bought several little plastic pods from the travel sized products aisle while I was at Walmart. To help me keep track of what’s in each pod, I used my Silhouette to cut out labels from gold vinyl.
Want to make your own? Just pick your favorite font and type it into your digital cutter’s dashboard. Weed the excess vinyl and use transfer tape to add them to the lids of each pod. Don’t have a digital cutter? Metallic Sharpie works, too!
When it’s time to pack, add the amount of product you usually use times the number of days you’ll be gone to each pod. Then add a little extra. It’s hard to judge product usage from a pod instead of a pump, so that extra will ensure you have enough for your trip. When you get home, use any product that’s left, then clean out the pods and store them until your next trip.
Out of all of the products recommended to me by the Olay Skin Advisor, Regenerist Regenerating Serum has become the one I can’t live without. My skin looked visibly smoother on the first day. My full regimen includes Regenerist Luminous Brightening Foaming Cream Cleanser and and Luminous Overnight Mask.
After taking part in Olay’s 28 Day Skin Study, I’m loving my results. Visit the Olay Skin Advisor on your mobile device to get your custom skincare analysis. You can find your recommended products at Walmart!
