Excited about Detective Pikachu? Celebrate the adorable little Pokémon’s big screen feature with a super cute Detective Pikachu Piñata! It’s perfect for a Pikachu birthday party. Pika pika!
Start by sketching out Pikachu’s head on two pieces of cardboard. Use a craft knife to cut them out.
Use pasteboard (like a cereal box) for the sides. Form your piñata by combining the two cardboard pieces with a strip of pasteboard between them using masking tape. Don’t forget to add a string to hang your piñata and an opening to stuff it.
Fold over multiple strips of yellow crepe paper and then create notches with scissors.
Glue strips of notched crepe paper all along the piñata form, overlapping as you go. Cover the front, back and sides, trimming off excess crepe paper as you go.
Cut your face, hat and ear tips out of cardstock or construction paper.
Glue on your paper features and your Detective Pikachu piñata is ready to hang!
