DIY Lilo and Stitch Magic Band

I’m heading to Walt Disney World in a few weeks, so I’m super excited to add a new Magic Band color to my collection. I love Magic Bands, although I’ll confess to never decorating one before. Since this trip was happening during Halloween, I decided that I needed a Lilo and Stitch Magic Band update. Spoiler Alert: it goes with my Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party costume!

I used my Silhouette to cut out the design from white vinyl. (You can grab the Silhouette cut file here.) Don’t have a Silhouette? Don’t worry. Ask around and see if you have a friend or family member who’d be willing to cut out your design. There’s a really good chance you know someone with a Silhouette.

This is a pretty simple design, so it’s easy to apply by hand without using transfer tape. Even so, I recommend cutting the design at least twice in case you screw anything up when you’re applying the decals. It takes a tiny amount of vinyl for each cut, so it’s not too wasteful.

Give your Magic Band a few seconds under a hot dryer to help cure the vinyl into place. This step is optional, but I’ve found it helps keep things securely in place. After that you’ll be ready to hit the parks in adorable Lilo style!
