I’m proud to partner with CVS Pharmacy for the Bring Holidays to Life campaign. I am being sponsored by CVS Pharmacy for my posts and activities, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
I have so many traditions during the Christmas season. I’m always at my grandmother’s house on Christmas Eve. I always bring too many presents for the little ones in the family. I always start decorating for Christmas well before Thanksgiving and somehow manage to not finish until it’s almost Christmas day. I think it’s my tendency to take on too many projects at once, maybe?
I’m the same way when it comes to gifts. I’ll start shopping months in advance, and somehow I’ll still need gifts at the last minute. Those last minute gifts can easily fall into the trap of cold and impersonal if you’re not careful. That’s why I’m so excited to share my DIY snow globe Christmas ornaments! You can make them in minutes, and nothing says personalized more than a photo gift!
With CVS Photo you can go online or use the CVS app to order your favorite holiday prints. Mine were ready in less than an hour!
To make your own Snow Globe Christmas Ornaments, you’ll need:
- Prints of your favorite photos
- Fillable plastic ornaments
- Craft snow flurries
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Ribbon
Use one half of the ornament to trace around the part of your photo prints that you want to show inside of your snow globe. If you get any marker on your ornament, you can easily remove it with a little rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.
Carefully cut out just inside of the traced area. Use a glue stick to adhere the photo circles to each other so that they won’t shift around inside the ornament.
Place the photo inside of the plastic ornament, adding craft snow on each side before connecting the two ornament pieces together. You may need to trim the photo a bit more for it to fit inside. Thread ribbon through the holes in the top of the ornament and knot to create a loop that can be used to hang your ornament on the tree. Use more ribbon to add a bow to the top of your ornament.
