A Surprise Delivery
When I got the phone call from a florist I had no idea why a florist was calling me. (I don’t get flowers very often. OK…almost never.) He wanted to know if I was going to be home soon and if it was OK to leave an arrangement on my doorstep. I said it was fine and immediately felt bad. It was obviously a wrong number and someone had flowers just hanging out on their doorstep. What if they’re away and come home to dead flowers? It would be my fault! But when I got home there were flowers by my door. And they were for me! They were a surprise form the team at Collective Bias. They’ve done so many amazing things for my blog and for me…and they’re sending me flowers? I already knew they were awesome. Now I know they’re awesome times infinity.
Cake On Your Doorstep
No, those aren’t weeds. They’re daffodils. Or at least daffodils to be. In the middle of the tree line at the edge of my back yard there’s a wild bunch of daffodils. When I see them pop up I know Spring is just around the corner. And I love Spring. Despite the coating of lime green pine pollen that is soon to follow Spring is my favorite time of year. Soon everything will be budding and blooming and turning green. I can’t wait!
Taking A Big Leap
Today I purchased my ticket to BlogHer 12. I know I said I was going, but this is huge. I’m going! I still don’t have it all worked out. I’m not sure how it’s going to come together and actually happen. But I have a ticket. I took a leap. This really is huge. And it makes me smile.
