Food Photography That Sparkles From The Plate Up

Cascade, Platinum, Pacs, Dishwasher, Clean

I love reading posts from my favorite foodie bloggers. Occasionally I like to pretend that I’m a foodie blogger. I know I’m not. I’m just a blogger who sometimes post about food. That doesn’t mean I don’t try to at least look like a foodie blogger. (Call me a work in progress…I swear one day I’ll figure out this whole photography/lighting/shooting in manual thing.) I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade Platinum. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

One of the investments I made in my food posts (after getting a decent camera) was a collection of photo friendly dishes and serveware. Having the right dish for whatever I’m trying to photograph makes a huge difference. I have lots of bright white pieces along with some colorful plates and bowls and a variety of simple glassware. Of course none of that matters if the dishes aren’t sparkling!

Cascade, Platinum, Pacs, Dishwasher, Clean

That’s where Cascade Platinum comes in. I’m too busy to prewash. (Besides, what’s the point of a dishwasher if you have to wash your dishes before you load them?) Cascade Platinum Pacs triple action recipe help to leave my dishes spot-free and prevent the build up of hard water inside of my dishwasher. That means cleaner dishes and better photos. (And hey, even if you’re not taking pictures of your food, don’t you want the cleanest dishes?)

Don’t take my word for it, though…see what Gail Simmons of Top Chef has to say:
