I don’t know about where you live, but here we’re fully into that “spring that feels like summer” season. And by that I mean it’s hot. Oh-so-hot. Turn-on-the-air-conditioning-and-never-turn-it-off-hot. That makes it the perfect time to try my ridiculously easy frozen granola and yogurt bites.
I’m starting with Annie’s Organic Whole Milk Yogurt. I’m using Berry Patch, but Summer Strawberry would do just as nicely. You might think that I’m using Annie’s because of the bunny. And…well…you’d be right. But it’s also made with organic whole milk and fruit. It’s also free of artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, antibiotics and synthetic hormones. With each 4oz serving containing 100 calories, 4 grams of protein and 3 grams of fat; this is a snack you can feel good about serving.
I have a large collection of silicone molds. Any of them would have worked for this, so I used the first one I could put my hands on-my trusty bite size mold. Spoon in enough yogurt to cover the bottom of the mold and top with granola. You can even crumble up an Annie’s granola bar on top.
Pop the mold into the freezer and in a few hours and your frozen granola and yogurt bites will be ready!
It’s the perfect summer or spring-that’s-so-hot-it-feels-like-summer snack!
You can find Annie’s Organic Whole Milk Yogurt at Publix, where they’re currently on sale until 5/27/16. To thank you for stopping by, one of you will win a Starbucks gift card! Good luck!
