We’re officially closer to the release of Frozen 2 than we are to the release of the original. That’s as good a reason as any to whip up a batch of Frozen-inspired slime. And no, the slime isn’t actually frozen. My nieces like to store their slime in the fridge before playing with it, though, so knock yourself out here if you want your Frozen slime cold!
Disney’s Frozen Inspired-Slime
To make your own Frozen-inspired slime, you’ll need…
- Clear Glue
- Borax
- Ultra Fine Blue Glitter
- Blue Food Color
- Ice Vase Filler
- Sequins
- Water
- Bowls
- Spoons
How to make Slime
Start with two bowls, each filled with 1/4 cup of water. In one bowl add 1/4 of clear glue along with a generous sprinkle of ultra fine blue glitter and a little blue food color. Stir well.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of borax to the other bowl and stir until the borax is dissolved. Add the borax mixture to the glue mixture and stir as the slime begins to form.
This recipe uses well-diluted borax and I’ve found it to be safe. I still advise caution when handling borax and monitoring children when they play with it, especially the first time. All other ingredients are completely non-toxic and safe, although you will want to avoid very young children playing with this slime because of potential choking hazards.
You can’t have a Frozen-inspired slime without sequins. I’m 100% convinced the sequins were what made everyone obsessed with dressing like Elsa. Frozen slime is also going to need some ice. Look in the candle and floral department of your craft store for vase filler that looks like little pieces of ice.
Sprinkle on your sequins and “ice” and work them into the slime.
It’s fun to push in the ice while you’re playing with the slime and watching it pop back out. If you’re a Frozen fan, you’ll also want to check out my Frozen-inspired gummies, ribbon barrettes and Snowgie ornaments!
