Fun On The Set Of ABC’s Single Parents

Thank you to Disney Studios for hosting me during the Ralph Breaks The Internet Event, which included this visit to the set of ABC’s Single Parents.

The set of ABC’s Single Parents was clearly designed with fun and kids in mind. Because of the limited hours child actors are allowed to work, the filming takes place in a geniusly constructed set, with all of the locations situated close together. Jake Choi who plays “Miggy Park,” and Executive Producer Jason Winer gave us a behind the scenes tour.

An exception to the “designed with kids in mind” rule was found in Douglas’ house. The set was built with vaulted ceilings to accommodate Brad Garrett’s height when filming.

They knew that Angie was a renter, meaning the walls would need to stay white.

But her house was filled with the notes and drawings that you would expect her to have scattered throughout.

It’s not just Miggy’s shoe collection on display in his apartment…

The baby has a collection of kicks, too!

Rory’s room is basically my dream childhood bedroom. Purple walls and color everywhere!

One of the coolest sets was Poppy’s Winebrary. Books, wine and cozy little reading nooks lined the walls. If Rory’s room was my childhood dream, the Winebrary is my adult dream come true!

The playground set is has the coolest mural ever. And I’m not just saying that because it has a bunny…

Want to check out all of these cool locations yourself? Single Parents airs Wednesdays at 9:30|8:30c on The ABC Television Network as well as streaming or on demand.

On tonight’s episode:

Will encourages Angie to rediscover her passion for heavy metal music by taking a guitar class, and in turn, Angie insists that Will get back in the field covering weather by driving both of them into a storm. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang explore their romantic passions as Douglas pursues his crush on Big Red with the help of Miggy, and Poppy feels an instant connection with a dreamy musician, on an all-new episode of SINGLE PARENTS, WEDNESDAY, NOV. 28 (9:31-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
