Organizing things in my tiny office closet is always a priority. When Hayneedle gifted me with a shopping code, one of my purchases was a great desk carousel to hold my endless supply of pens and markers. (I also ordered a bunch of bunny stuff…but that’s another post…) The carousel is perfectly fine as-is, but I couldn’t resist the chance to glam it up a bit!
Most of the supplies were ones I already had on hand. I used narrow double-sided tape and gold transfer foil to create some shiny gold stripes along the sides.
I started at the bottom applying stripes of double-sided tape., then carefully pressed on the transfer foil over the tape. I used a piece of washi tape to space out my double-sided tape to create even stripes. (And no, I wasn’t wasteful…I used the same piece of washi over and over again!)
The label holders on the desk carousel were silver, so I gave them a quick coat of black spray paint. You know, so they would coordinate with the whole makeover.
That’s it! My newly glam desk carousel is ready for a spin! (And it’s saving a ton of desk space in my little office, too!) Now I should probably work on organizing the rest of my office..
