Thank you to Disney•Pixar for hosting me during the #Incredibles2Event.
Sarah Vowell and Huck Milner voice super siblings Violet and Dash in Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2. Here are some of the fun facts they shared during our Incredibles 2 interview:
- Huck likes superheroes that run. His favorite hero is Dash, his second favorite is the Flash.
- Brad Bird is known for doing incredible impressions of the other characters. They could never use Sarah’s first takes in scenes with Elastigirl because she was laughing so hard at Brad’s Holly Hunter impression.
- Sarah asked Brad to lightly punch her in the arm in the studio so that she could properly make the noises in the first film when Violet and Dash were fighting.
- Sarah originally got the part of Violet Parr after Brad Bird heard her in a public radio documentary.
- If Huck could choose a superpower, he’d want to be fast, just like Dash.
- Sarah would want her superpower to be super strength so she can open jars without struggling.
- Huck once put on an Incredibles costume and ran around the Pixar campus!
- Sarah says can’t go a week without having someone talk to her about how much they loved The Incredibles.
- Huck didn’t own any toys from the first movie, but now he has a Dash doll that has his voice. (And he enjoys pressing the button to hear himself!)
- Sarah’s favorite Incredibles film moment is when Violet puts on her mask for the first time in the original movie.
- Huck favorite Incredibles 2 scene was when Dash played with the remote controls and buttons in their new house.
- Sarah actually poured water down her throat to do the spit-take in the movie, and she actually got sick in the studio from doing it!

I’ve been sharing tons about Incredibles 2 here on the blog, with more to come! Don’t forget to download these fun Incredibles 2 printables before you head to the movies. Incredibles 2 is in theaters now!
In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
Written and directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles,” “Tomorrowland”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer), Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” is in theaters now.
