I’ll confess that I’m not very outdoorsy. Gardening is something I do at a very minimal level and I hire people to mow my lawn for me. That doesn’t mean I don’t love spring and summer weather. I promise I do. It’s just that things like cookouts or reading a book on the deck are more my speed. Also more my speed? Outdoor craft projects that are colorful, fun and kid friendly like this painted bird feeder!
This painted bird feeder starts out as a basic bird feeder picked up at the store. Any plain bird feeder will do.
Then it’s just a matter of adding a little paint. To keep things nice and simple, use things like dots or stripes. Pour out a little paint, then you and the kids can dot, dot, dot all around the feeder.
Stripes on the bottom of the feeder finish things off. Use paint pens or acrylic craft paint with small paint brushes or household objects like cotton swabs to create your designs. Have fun and don’t be afraid to get messy!
Even your old clothes will stay looking new with Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster. There’s no need to worry about stains like paint and dirt when they’re so easy to remove. Pre-treat stains with Clorox 2® to remove four times more stains than detergent alone. It can be used as a pre-treater for stains and in the wash to keep colors bright.
If you do get any paint on yourself when making your bird feeder, apply the product directly to stains. Rub in gently and set for 5–10 minutes. Do not allow to dry on fabric. Wash as usual with Clorox 2® product and your favorite detergent.
To celebrate spring and encourage you and your family to get outside, Clorox 2® wants to send one of you a prize package that includes a $100 Home Depot gift card along with a Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster Liquid and Clorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Pen.
