Thank you to Disney-Pixar for sending along a box of Incredibles 2 goodies which were used to make these Edna Mode and Jack-Jack pumpkins! Visit my master list of pumpkins for tons of no-carve Halloween inspiration!
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the home release of Incredibles 2 than with a couple of Incredibles-inspired pumpkins. Specifically, Edna Mode and Jack-Jack-inspired pumpkins. Incredibles 2 was the film that introduced us to Auntie Edna, after all!
It couldn’t be easier to make your Jack-Jack and Auntie Edna pumpkins. I used an Edna Mode dress up kit and a pre-made black eye mask to save time. In addition to those supplies you’ll need the pumpkins, paint, paint pens, craft foam, hot glue and orange craft fur.
I started by painting each pumpkin with peachy acrylic craft paint. I held the mask up to the smaller pumpkin and drew in pencil around the eye holes to get the proper spacing. I then used paint pens to drawn on Jack-Jack’s mouth, nose and eyes.
I finished off the Jack-Jack pumpkin by hot gluing on ears, a mask and his hair. I cut the ears out of craft foam and then painted them the same peachy color. I happened to have a small amount of white craft fur sitting around that I turned into Jack-Jack’s hair by coloring it a few different orange shades with permanent markers.
I held up the glasses from the Edna kit to the pumpkin to see where the eyes should go. I also marked the places I needed to make my cuts, then carved out small openings with a craft knife so that the earpieces on the glasses would actually slide into the pumpkin.
I finished off my Edna pumpkin by attaching the wig using push pins hidden underneath her hair. I then tucked the hair under the pumpkin to give it Edna’s signature bob.
