Thank you to HoJo Anaheim for hosting us during during our recent trip to Disneyland and D23 Expo. I am excited to be a part of the HoJo Anaheim Influencer program.
Planning a trip-especially one with a lot of details to coordinate-can be stressful. Getting everything lined up for my girls trip to D23 Expo and Disneyland this year was no exception. There was one details that was easy-deciding to stay at the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground. Or HoJo Anaheim for short. Or “the HoJos” as my friend Amanda continually called it….
You’ll notice fun touches from the moment you visit the registration desk at HoJo Anaheim. The staff could not be friendlier. They also offer complimentary face painting and free temporary tattoos-make sure you get the details when you’re checking in.
HoJo Anaheim takes having fun seriously. The Castaway Cove Water Playground is the place to go if your family wants to splash around in a fun, pirate-themed splash zone.
If you’re looking for something a little less splashy, hop over to the peaceful garden pool for a quick dip or a few rays.
Confession: I didn’t have the chance to personally check out either of the pool areas on this trip. We had way too much on the schedule for swimming. Also, my two roommates forgot to pack their swimsuits… 🙄 Next time, though, I’m all over it!
We stayed in one of the retro fun rooms in Building 1. They were freshly renovated in March of 2018. They’ll start their renovation of Building 2 on November 1st of this year, with a plan to finish those 200 rooms in March of 2020. Sounds like a great excuse for another visit, right?
So remember how I said we had a busy schedule? Item one? Naps. We all had massively early mornings at the airport. Item two? Disneyland!
You’re just a ten minute walk from HoJo Anaheim to the gates of Disneyland. That means you’re roughly 30 minutes, depending on lines, from your first visit to Batuu. Well, my first visit to Batuu. You might have visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland before…
A few overpriced drinks and snacks at Disneyland later, it’s time to point out one of my favorite features of our room…
All hail the #SnackStation. We made a beeline from the parks to a nearby drug store to pick up drinks, waters and snacks to fill up the mini fridge in our room. Some people start their mornings with a cup of coffee. I start my mornings with a Diet Coke. Don’t judge. I’m pretty sure storing drinks in the room saved me approximately $2,392 on this trip. OK, that’s probably an exaggeration. But only a slight one.
If you’ve forgotten anything during your trip, hop over to the store inside the lobby of Building 1. You’ll find snacks, drinks, souvenirs and basically anything you might need at the last minute.
If the friendly staff, convenient location and adorable rooms haven’t convinced you that Ho Jo Anaheim is where you want to stay during your next trip to Disneyland, how about this? If you book a Disneyland view room you can view the nightly fireworks from your balcony! How cool is that?
