Let’s start with a little story. Last week I was asked for my driver’s license. I don’t get too excited when someone asks to see my ID. I know that lots of places have a policy of carding everyone. What was different this time was the reaction. She burst out laughing. I asked what was so funny. She just said, “You work it.” I’m used to people thinking I’m a little younger than the 40 that I am. I’m not used to people seeing that I’m 40 and laughing hysterically. Whatever the reaction-be it shock, awe or laughter, I’ll take it. I’m more than happy to look younger. But who gets the credit?
At least part of credit has got to go to the Tria Age-Defying Laser. I was a little excited when I found out I was one of their ambassadors. You see, I’m already a huge fan of Tria Beauty. I have their Hair Removal Laser Precision and their Skin Perfecting Blue Light. That basically means I’ve got the whole hair removal and clear skin thing covered. So, what’s left? Fighting the signs of aging, of course.
Even though I don’t think I’ve ever looked my age, that doesn’t mean I wasn’t aging. I definitely noticed discoloration, dullness, fine lines and a loss of firmness in my skin. I was even seriously considering laser treatments at my medspa. The Tria Age-Defying Laser costs approximately half of what one spa laser treatment would cost. (And my medspa recommended three treatments!) The Age-Defying Laser is definitely a better financial option.
So exactly what do you do with the Tria Age-Defying Laser? I’m getting ready to start week four of a twelve week cycle. Week one is basically your training phase. The laser on level one is getting your face used to the process. After that you can move along at your own pace through levels two and three.
Treatment Process
- Clean your face with the Tria Priming Cleanser.
- Move the laser slowly from side to side, covering the entire zone. (Your face is divided into four treatment zones.) The total treatment time is two minutes on level one.
- Apply the Tria Finishing Serum.
- Use sunscreen during the day.
You should use the Tria Age-Defying laser five days a week. On level two you may feel a slight stinging or prickling sensation. After the treatment, your skin may redden and feel mildly sunburned. Both of these are temporary and normal. The total treatment time is four minutes on level two. When I moved up to level two I definitely felt the prickles they mentioned. They aren’t painful, just a little uncomfortable. They also only last while you’re actually using the laser. I’ve just moved on to level three. It’s a little more intense than level two. The total treatment time is 10 minutes. So far my skin has felt softer and smoother after treatments. Every night my face has felt as though I’ve been out in the sun a little too long. I haven’t noticed much redness, and the mild sunburned feeling usually goes away after a short period of time.
I’m looking forward to starting level three and letting you know how everything goes!
