We need to talk about Merida. An ornament inspired by Brave has been on my list since the very beginning of my ornament making days. I have tried and failed more times than I care to admit on this one. I finally decided to go with one of my original ideas-imitating the puffy sleeves on Merida’s dress.
How To Make A Merida Christmas Ornament
To make your own Merida ornament, you’ll need:
Hop over to my second Disney Princess Ornaments post to get the details on my favorite way to make glitter ornaments. Once you have your blue-green glitter ornament ready, it’s just a matter of adding the ribbon and the tape.
Bunch up your gold wire ribbon and apply hot glue. Press the bunched ribbon onto the side of the ornament and hold it in place until it is secure. Complete this step around the ornament. Cover up the gathered parts of the gold ribbon with glitter tape. A small bit of hot glue can hold the tape securely in place. As long as you found a good match in glitter colors, the tape will almost disappear into the ornament.
