Whether you’re planning an Avengers party or you’re just really fond of ants, these Mini Ant-Man Cupcakes are sure to be a hit. A hit with your guests because…cupcakes. A hit with you because they’re so easy to make!
You need a few ants. I recommend these plastic toy ants. They’re about 1.5″ long, so not quite ant size…but they do a great job of making the cupcakes seem ant-sized.
Dip frosting is one of my favorite things ever because it’s so easy. Just microwave your frosting for 10 seconds or so and dip. You want to make sure you don’t over-microwave, or your frosting will start to separate.
I started with cold, leftover frosting for these cupcakes. That’s why I got a little swirl at the top. If you want fondant-smooth cupcakes, make sure you start with fresh frosting. Since I was topping these with ants, swirls were totally OK!
After you’ve finished frosting, just pop on your ant and your cupcakes are ready to serve! Make sure you remove the ants before serving to small children. Don’t forget to check out my full Avengers Halloween party!
