A Moana movie kit was provided for this post. #MoanaOnDigital
My grandmother is an amazing baker. Somehow I picked up the torch and became a designated dessert provider at family gatherings. That included her 93rd birthday party. (Technically her birthday is on Wednesday, but we celebrated this weekend.) Since this also coincided with Moana‘s release on Digital HD, it seemed fitting to celebrate with a batch of Tamatoa Shiny Cupcakes!
I love that shiny singing crab almost as much as I don’t enjoy decorating cupcakes. Luckily these were easy to make. I used the dip frosting method. Take your cupcake and dip it in frosting you’ve put in the microwave for a few seconds. It gives you a quick and easy fondant-like smooth surface. Top that with gold sugar sprinkles and edible gold pearls.
Two easy steps and your cupcake will totally resemble your favorite decapod!
Just keep an eye out for Pua. He’s been known to sneak extras when no one is looking…
Whether you’re celebrating a special birthday or having a fun movie night at home, Tamatoa Shiny Cupcakes are the perfect treat!
Moana is available now on Digital HD and on March 7th on Blu-Ray and DVD. Hop over here to get full details on the bonus features and enter to win a digital code of your own! Those digital features? Ahhhmazing!
