8-Bit Christmas, a new holiday film coming to HBOMax, takes us on an A Christmas Story-style ride back in time. This time we’re heading to the 80s. Instead of a Red Ryder BB Gun, Jake Doyle (played by Winslow Fegley and Neil Patrick Harris) is on the hunt for a Nintendo Entertainment System.
In its own little flashback to the 80s for me, the film stars Neil Patrick Harris as the present-day Jake Doyle. Yes, given the opportunity to chat to the kid who was on my television weekly for four years of my childhood, I had to shoutout the fact that he was the OG blogger.
I also had the chance to ask Winslow Fegley, who played Jake back in the late 80s, what it was like to experience the 80s for himself since he wasn’t around for it the first time like the rest of us.
