My two youngest nieces are obsessed with Shopkins. Literally obsessed. Sometime last year I threw out the possibility of a Shopkins party for her birthday, and Kyns stuck with it for months. This is a girl known to change her mind, so sticking to the plan was a pretty big deal!
I reached out to Oriental Trading Company, and they generously sent along some party supplies featuring Shopkins. I was able to mix and match those with some brightly colored accessories for a completely DIY-free table!
You know I love DIY as much as it’s humanly possible, but with my crazy April travel schedule I knew the handmade touches would need to be kept to a minimum.
Combining the Shopkins cups, plates and napkins with colorful paper tissue fans, party hats and plastic utensils make for a fun table and easy clean up.
For full disclosure, I did create the confetti on the table. I thought it could use a little table scatter, so I broke out my large hole punch and some scrap paper. However, you can totally buy confetti so I’m still holding on to my DIY-free claims.
Of course it’s not a birthday party without a party favor! The cute and reusable plastic Shopkins cups from Oriental Trading Company make an easy gift. Just fill a bag with candy, toys…whatever you like!
