Thank you to Disney and Pixar Studios for hosting me during the #PixarCocoEvent which included a special #OlafsFrozenAdventure screening and Q&A. This post contains affiliate links.
If you missed Olaf’s Frozen Adventure in front of Pixar’s Coco, never fear. It’s coming to ABC on Thursday, December 14th at 8 pm ET!
The Featurette Joins the Emmy® Award-winning Prep & Landing for an Hour of Walt Disney Animation Studios Holiday Specials During the ’25 Days of Christmas’ Celebration.
Speaking of Prep & Landing, did you know you can spot Lanny and Wayne on the mantle in one of the scenes in Olaf’s Frozen Adventure? I have plenty of fun facts about the featurette over here.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure features four new original songs and welcome’s back the original cast of Arendelle characters, including Olaf, voiced by Josh Gad (Marshall, Book of Mormon); Anna, voiced by Kristen Bell (Frozen, Bad Moms); Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel (Broadway’s Wicked, Rent and If/Then; Fox’s Glee); and Kristoff, voiced by Jonathan Groff (Broadway’s Hamilton, Netflix’s Mindhunter).
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is directed by Emmy-winning filmmakers Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (Prep & Landing) and is produced by Oscar-winner Roy Conli (Big Hero 6). The featurette includes a screenplay by Jac Schaeffer and four original songs by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.
During PixarCocoEvent, we were treated to a behind the scenes look at the animation process with Animator Michael Franceschi and Animation Supervisor Chad Sellers. I love to doodle and sketch, so getting a lesson on how to draw Olaf was a blast. It’s also amazing to see just how much work goes into bringing your favorite characters to the screen.
You can catch Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Thursday, December 14th at 8 pm ET on ABC!
