Thank you to Disney Studios for hosting me during the Mary Poppins Returns Event!
It was the opportunity of a lifetime when Pixie Davies and Joel Dawson were cast to play Anabel and Georgie Banks in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns! Here are ten fun facts from Pixie and Joel about the film:
Joel’s favorite scene to shoot was when he was dragged by the kite.
Pixie loved the Trip A Little Light Fantastic musical number the most.
The original Mary Poppins is Pixie’s favorite film.
Joel’s favorite song in Mary Poppins Returns is (Underneath The) Lovely London Sky.
They spent two months in rehearsals and five months filming Mary Poppins Returns.
They weren’t scared when they had to do flying scenes, but the harnesses were uncomfortable.
If Pixie could have saved anything from the set, she would have taken the hand-painted costumes from the animated sequence.
Joel would have taken home the bath tub, if he could have, but only if it was really magical.
Their favorite place to visit on set was craft services, and they especially loved the day they had a chocolate fountain.
Watch carefully during the “Topsy” sequence with Meryl Streep. Pixie and Joel notice new things hidden within the scene every time they watch it!
There is so much I’ve shared about Mary Poppins Returns right here on As The Bunny Hops-you don’t want to miss it! Mary Poppins Returns is in theaters on December 19, 2018!
