{Recipe} Almost Apple Pie à la Mode

Almost Apple Pie A La Mode

This post is brought to you by Good Cook.

So it’s late. You want apple pie à la mode but you don’t actually want to bake a pie. What’s a girl to do? As long as you have a few simple ingredients you can come up with something almost as good. (And it only takes about ten minutes!)

Start by peeling your apple.

Then core and slice the apple into wedges.
Add the apple wedges to a sauce pan with 1/8 cup of brown sugar, a pat of butter, a tablespoon of water and a sprinkle of cinnamon. (Multiply this by each apple.) Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples reach your desired softness. (It should be less than ten minutes.)
Scoop your favorite ice cream and top with the apples. It’s so easy and delicious you’ll hardly miss the crust!
