Cheese and Crackers Three Ways

CB Disclosure

Holiday Cheese & Cracker RecipesCheese and crackers somehow got the reputation as the easy food to bring to a party. The slacker’s contribution after cups and plates. Perhaps it was well deserved. Too many simple trays of your basic cheese with a few tired crackers. Nothing to get too excited about. At least nothing to get too excited about until now. I have three easy cheese and cracker recipes for you to try. Surely one of these will be your new favorite party recipe this holiday season. I think we can make cheese and crackers the hero of the party. Who’s with me? Town Hour Original CrackersOf course you have to start with a great cracker. I love the buttery taste of original Town House Crackers. They go so well with so many cheeses. Or by themselves. Try not to eat them all before the party. That would be bad. You’ll need a cheese delivery device. Actually, while you’re shopping at Target you might want to pick up an extra box. Just in case. Ranch Cheese BallThe classic cheese ball with a hint of ranch. What could be better? How about if I tell you this one is nut free? I  used a coating of Town House crackers instead of nuts. A little crunch. A lot of yum.

This dip goes well with Town House Sea Salt Pita Crackers. A little salty and a little sweet is always a good thing.marinated cheese

Let’s round out this trio with something a little different. Ever tried marinated cheese? I was skeptical the first time I had it, too. But it’s good! I always adapt this to what I have in my pantry. Feel free to spice it up if you have other flavors you want to try! It’s often served with green onions and pimentos, but I found that everyone always just left those off to the side, so…I skip it. You know, just saving everyone the trouble.

Marinated Cheese
Ingredients
  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1 block cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Chop cream cheese and cheddar into squares, stacking in alternating order.
  2. Combine vinegar, oil, garlic and spices together.
  3. Pour over cheese.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
