I love watching little kids eat. I really do. Those adorable pictures of chocolate covered faces? Spaghetti bowls turned over on their heads? Messy adorableness. Can’t get enough of it.
But just stay away from me. Yes, spaghetti covered baby, I’m talking to you! It’s true… I adore the messy eaters out there, but I have a sticky baby phobia. (Yes, I work with kids. Yes, I pick up sticky babies every day. No, I don’t like it.) Does this make me a horrible person? I mean, I push through it all and clean up those messy babies every day. I would never not give a toddler something to eat just because it’s going to make a mess. I just sometimes wish it was OK to put them in a kiddy pool and spray them down with a garden hose. I mean, kids like playing with water, right?
Even though I’m not a fan of the stickiness, feeding little ones really is one of my favorite things to do. This summer Happy Family wanted to celebrate the humor in feeding challenges for parents by working on a series of Stories from the Bright Side videos. They feature the improv comedy of the Upright Citizens Brigade acting out the feeding tales of top bloggers.
You can submit your own Stories from the Bright Side on the Happy Family Facebook page. All submissions will be judged by a panel from Happy Family and someone will have the chance to win a $20,000 college scholarship! You’ll also be able to pick up a $.50 coupon and receive $1.00 off Happy Tot or Happy Baby Pouches. Need to find out where you can purchase Happy Family products? Just visit their store locator.
