I’ve long been on the hunt for the perfect case for my iPad mini. (I even decorated one I purchased before I headed to BlogHer.) So I had a case that was good for travel, but I kind of hated it for use at home. It wasn’t easy to hold. I hated having to flip it open. It just wasn’t working for me. Enter the Speck HandyShell. The HandyShell is a pretty basic protective cover from the front. It has a raised bezel to take any impact if you drop it and hopefully protect your screen.
But the back? That’s where the magic happens. The back of the HandyShell has a handle. Or a stand. Or a hook. It basically works as all of the above. It folds back to be space saving. When out it allows you to get a good grip on your iPad without having the hold the screen. You can also position it to use as a stand for viewing in horizontal or vertical positions. You can even use it to hand your iPad on a knob of hook. (Perfect for the kitchen if you use your iPad for recipes!)
The handle totally stays wherever you put it. I’ve even been able to use it for hands free vlogging. Pretty nifty, right? Or I guess I should say it’s pretty handy.
