Thank you to Disney and Lucasfilm for hosting me during the #TheLastJediEvent.
I’m still kind of giddy from last Sunday’s press conference. Being in the same room with Oscar Isaac will do that to me. Getting to hear the director and the cast talk about making Star Wars: The Last Jedi was pretty awesome, and that’s just how we started the press junket!
Actual Leia, Luke, Rey and Kylo Ren costumes were on display.
And speaking of costumes, a full array of The Last Jedi-inspired products were available to check out. I’m really hoping I see at least one Praetorian Guard trick or treater next year because their costume is super cool.
Porgs! Giant, fluffy Porgs! Gimmie all the Porgs!
I now know what my droid would look like if I built my own Little Bits Droid.
Almost every press junket has a few photo opps, but not every press junket has photo opps with BB-8 and BB-9E!
And since there wasn’t an Oscar Isaac photo opp, I just made my own…
There was also a Disneyland Star Wars Land preview, a Movies Anywhere lounge, a display of Rian Johnson’s on-set photography, a VR demo, and ice cream inspired by the film!
I took home some great souvenirs, including a Porg mug and a Porg t-shirt. We actually got to design our own t-shirts, and the fact that I chose Porg shouldn’t surprise you at all.
Unless you’re wondering why I didn’t design a Poe Dameron t-shirt. Trust me, if Poe had been an option you can believe I’d be wearing that shirt as we speak. I did, however, get a Poe Dameron action figure to take home. (And a little Chewbacca for good measure.) That’s almost as good, right?
There’s plenty of #TheLastJediEvent coverage still to come, so make sure you follow along!
