Have you ever been to a duck race? I actually have! There’s a rubber duck race here every year to benefit the local food bank. I’ve even decorated a duck and raced myself. It’s a lot of fun and it’s for a great cause.
Not lucky enough to live in an area that holds their own duck race? (Or maybe you do but you want more duck races…because who doesn’t want more duck races?) Everyone can participate in this duck race and help fight childhood cancer at the same time! For just $12 you’ll receive a commemorative Aflac rubber duck. Your duck will then be virtually entered into the “Swim With Friends” duck race on Facebook. The race will be on Tuesday, October 9th at 12pm EST. (Don’t forget to tune in and watch!)
So now you’re thinking this is all pretty cool, right? Get a cute rubber ducky, donate to the Aflac Cancer Center, watch a duck race on Facebook…all good stuff. But wait…there’s more! One racing ducky will be selected at random to award it’s family a trip for four to Orlando, Florida! Pretty awesome, huh? But I’m still not done! On September 6th at 9pm EST (Hey, that’s tonight!) there will be a Twitter Party to share the news of the Swim With Friends Virtual Duck Race. Make sure you RSVP for the Twitter Party to be eligible for the door prize. You heard me…there are prizes. And when I say prizes I mean prizes! iPad, anyone?
OK, so all of that is pretty amazing. I mean, really, really, amazing. But that’s still not all. Every tweet with the #AflacKids means a $2 donation is being made to the Aflac Cancer Center! Find out more about Aflac’s fight against pediatric cancer here.
