Every so often I’ll get a jar of this sweet and salty snack mix for Christmas. It’s a thing of glory, and somewhat hard to find when it’s not the holiday season. Of course, you’re never further away than your kitchen from knocking out a batch for yourself. It only takes a few minutes, too!
Start by filling a parchment lined cookie sheet with potato chips, pretzels and caramel popcorn. You have a few options for the caramel corn. Make a batch. Buy a box. Or do what I did: buy microwave caramel corn. Make sure you’re removing any unpopped kernels if you make your own.
Melt some white and milk chocolate and go to town on the drizzle. There’s exactly zero reasons to be neat here.
Pop it in the freezer for a few minutes, and use a cookie sheet to flip it over. Drizzle again. This is all about getting a good coating of chocolate.
Pop it all back in the freezer, wait a few minutes, remove and break it up into smaller pieces. Your sweet and salty snack mix is ready to serve. It will stay good in an airtight container for a few days…if you have the self-control to have leftovers!
