In the newest version of Cheaper By The Dozen, now streaming on Disney+, the 12-member strong Baker family runs an all-day breakfast restaurant. Needless to say, you might walk away from the movie craving a short stack.

With breakfast taking a starting role in the film, the cast shared a few of their favorite ways to start the day. “I grew up as a member of the Semites,” says Zach Braff, who plays Paul Baker. “I will say a bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato, capers, a little bit of salt.”
His costar, Gabrielle Union, who plays Zoey Baker kept it simple. “I’d like bacon. You can put an egg in there, it’s fine.” But to truly make her happy? “Just a platter of bacon.”
Erika Christensen, who plays Paul’s ex-wife Kate, agreed with Gabrielle. “I just want coffee and bacon.” Gabrielle chimed in to say, “Just all the pork products. Maybe a Polish Kielbasa.”

Don’t worry if you were thinking no one wanted a sweet treat for breakfast. “I’ll jump on the Jewish breakfast vibe,” says director Gail Lerner. “I’d love a good challah French toast.”
“My mother growing up, she was very, very health-conscious,” according to Timon Kyle Durrett, who plays Zoey’s ex-husband Dom. “It was always fruit, a big platter of fruit on the…”
It’s at this point that Zach breaks in to say, “That can’t be your answer!” Erika chimes in “That’s why he looks like he does!”
“Even now, I’ll wake up in the morning and I’ll either blend a smoothie, but I’m a fanatic for apples,” continues Timon.
“You see that? The trick is fruit. If you want to be a giant…” Zach joked.
Of course, Gabrielle had the perfect way to enjoy the best of both worlds. “I had apples, too, today. Under my bacon.”
