When you’re invited to a special screening of Toy Story 4 and an exclusive after party in Toy Story Land, you know you need to find something special to wear. My friend Tessa over at Mama’s Geeky had two little girls who wanted to dress up as Forky and Alien. I volunteered to whip up a Forky T-Shirt that when paired with a red tulle skirt made a perfect, park-friendly Forky Disneybound!
How To Make A Forky T-Shirt
Grab the Silhouette cut file or the SVG to cut your own Forky (and Alien) out of heat transfer vinyl. Even if you don’t have a digital cutter, the Forky pattern is so simple I totally believe in your ability to cut it by hand! Forky requires red, black and blue vinyl. (The Alien just needs black and white.)
All it takes once the vinyl is cut is a hot iron or a heat press to apply it to your t-shirts. I don’t have a heat press, and I’m relatively low-skilled in heat transfer vinyl. I tend to put everything on the floor, place a sheet of parchment paper over my vinyl, then press as hard as I can with my iron. Once I’ve peeled back the vinyl backing, I cover it with parchment paper and give it another really good press with the iron to lock things in place. And with that, your Forky (or Alien) t-shirt is ready to wear!
