While shopping at Target I saw the Threshold Silver Christmas Tree Advent Calendar and wanted it immediately. I even Instagramed a picture of it from the store. A friend asked, “What would you put it in?” in response on Twitter. Ahh…good question. I had no idea. I know a traditional advent calendar might have small toys or chocolate. I wanted to come up with a fun idea that could be the start of a new tradition.
Twenty five days of notes! It’s perfect! It gave me an excuse to pull out some fun holiday paper and crank up my Silhouette to make little envelopes.
I sized each envelope to be about two and a half inches in total. That means they’re a little less than two inches when folded. If you don’t have an electronic cutting machine, it’s easy to cut out the envelopes by hand-there are plenty of templates available online-just size the template accordingly.
Create 25 super cute little envelopes and you’re ready to write your notes. Seal them up with a rhinestone sticker. 
Then put your notes in your advent calendar.
