I was thrilled to receive a huge selection of Martha Stewart Jewelry supplies available at Michaels. The new collection is full of almost anything you could think of for making your own accessories.
The Wedgewood blue cabochon I received was immediately a favorite. Even though I loved it as is, I decided to turn it into a bold statement necklace.
After a few coats of black and purple gloss spray paint I was ready to assemble the cabochon. I applied a thin layer of Martha Stewart Jewelry Glue to the cabochon and the setting. After allowing each to set for two minutes I pressed the two pieces together.
The glue needed a full 24 hours to cure.
Once the cabochon was ready, I used jewelry pliers and a jump ring to attach it to my chain.
I used more jewelry glue to attach a small grosgrain bow to the cabochon and it was ready to wear!
