I was thrilled to receive a huge selection of supplies available at Michaels. The new collection is full of almost anything you could think of for making your own accessories.
The Wedgewood blue cabochon I received was immediately a favorite. Even though I loved it as is, I decided to turn it into a bold statement necklace.
After a few coats of black and purple gloss spray paint I was ready to assemble the cabochon. I applied a thin layer of Martha Stewart Jewelry Glue to the cabochon and the setting. After allowing each to set for two minutes I pressed the two pieces together.
The glue needed a full 24 hours to cure.
Once the cabochon was ready, I used jewelry pliers and a jump ring to attach it to my chain.
I used more jewelry glue to attach a small grosgrain bow to the cabochon and it was ready to wear!
