I’m leaving next week for my last blogging conference of the season. And it’s the big one. Big as in the furthest away, the most expensive to attend and with the biggest crowd. I’ll be surrounded by thousands of other bloggers. Not hundreds. Thousands. I want to stand out. In a good way, of course. That’s why I’m crafting up some one of a kind business cards to take with me. I have standard cards to hand out when it’s appropriate, but when I want to make a statement, these are how I’ll make it.
I started by making dozens and dozens of 4″ paper circles with my Silhouette. I printed out some cheesy fortunes with my email address that basically referenced how working with me was good luck. I followed the folding instructions from Oriental Trading Company to create my paper fortune cookies. You’ll need decorative paper, a way to cut the paper into circles, glue dots and your custom fortunes. That’s it!
The little lilac takeout boxes were the perfect size for my paper cookie and a real fortune cookie. I also stuffed in one of my round business cards. If your cards are bigger, another option would be tying them to the handle like a gift tag. I also had this super cute personalized ribbon. Which was perfect for tying into a bow for a little extra something. Make sure you burn the edges to keep things from fraying! These are guaranteed to make an impression. Don’t need fortune cookie business cards? They’d make super cute party favors, too!
